What the ENERGY STAR® Brand Means

ENERGY STAR® is the government symbol for energy efficiency, recognized by more than 60 percent of the American public. ENERGY STAR is administered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).   Last year alone, Americans, with the help of ENERGY STAR, saved about $10 billion on their energy bills while reducing greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those of 20 million cars.
