United Way 2-1-1
United Way 2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember phone number that connects people with a wide range of community resources. You will reach a trained, caring professional 24/7 to walk you through support services including, but not limited to utility bills. All for free, all confidential.

Low-Income Energy Assistance Program
LIHEAP, a federally funded program, helps eligible families pay their energy bills during the winter months. However, LIHEAP funding for 2011 - 2012 has been cut in half. For the most assistance and flexibility with your electric utility bill, contact KCP&L before you fall behind to discuss a variety of payment options.
