Now you can manage your KCP&L account including reminders, making payments, and payment confirmations - all from your mobile phone.   

Enjoy the convenience of managing your account without accessing a computer and when you’re on the go.

Here’s how to get started:

1. Enroll your text-enabled, mobile phone to send and receive text messages with KCP&L. Sign up through our secure online customer portal, AccountLink.


2. Select the messaging options you want:

• Bill notifications - Get notified when your bill is ready
• Bill reminders - Schedule a reminder 1-14 days before your bill is due
• Payment initiation - Make a payment from a designated bank account
• Payment confirmation - Be notified when we process your payment

Update your text message preferences online at anytime or stop all text messages, by texting “STOP” to 68731.

You can also combine text messaging to any of our other flexible billing and payment options, including paperless billing, budget billing, and automatic payment.
