KCP&L Demand Response Incentive (MPower)

What is it?

Save energy while getting paid to do so.  Your company can earn a discount on summer energy bills of $10,000 or more.  This summer load-management program pays customers to reduce peak electric usage.  By controlling your company's demand for electricity, you help KCP&L delay costly generation construction and reduce future rate increases.

Controlling summer peak demands and avoiding costly generation growth are important to KCP&L. So important that we'll actually pay you to help us manage our peak summer demand. As a participant of MPower, KCP&L will write you an annual check when you reduce your electrical usage a few times a year.
